The Need for A Sustainable Lifestyle       Did you know that over 23,000 tonnes of waste is produced every day in Malaysia? Sadly, only a small amount of this is recycled or bio-degradable, and the remaining waste is left to pollute our beautiful country.     In the face of increasing commercialism, people are demanding more and more products they might not necessarily need. To keep up with this overwhelming demand, manufacturers step up on production without giving a thought about how their production processes affect the environment. Many of the methods or processes they utilize may be harmful to us, the wildlife or the environment.          Thus, there is a dire need for everyone to be make more sustainable consumption choices and be more conscious of what we purchase or throw away.

Why Go Green The production of green items uses little or no harmful chemicals or processes, keeping us and our environment clean and safe. Green items are recyclable or bio-degradable, making them sustainable consumer products. Preservation of our precious natural resources and environment is vital for our future, and also the existence of wildlife and plants.     Going Green ...       ... is a way to participate in preserving our environment. That does not mean you need to totally re-think your lifestyle immediately – little steps can go a long way if everyone pitches in a little!         You may start out by sorting out your waste at home to pick out the recyclable items, and bring a recyclable carrier bag the next time you visit your local grocer.
